THE FULL HONG KONG – SOUTHERN CHINESE REFERENCE DATA SET CAN BE ACCESSED BY CLICKING ON THE PDF FILE (SEE BELOW) THIS CAN BE READ ON-SCREEN OR DOWNLOADED.

This Reference Data Set was acquired over the years 2003 to 2014. It is derived from DPTs held at the Eastman Dental Hospital, King’s College London Dental Institute at King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust. In addition a few hundred were obtained form Community Dental clinics in the county of Surrey, England.

The total to date (19 May 2014) is 2,896. This is the second largest data set for DAA for a single ethnic group [ sometime referred to as an Identifiable Human Group or IHG ].

This data set has been used to enable a variety of analyses to explore aspects of DAA, notably Censoring 3rd Molar Stage H, integration of TDS data for children using Meta-Analysis (Stata 2013), Age assessment at specific thresholds namely 16 year (Mitchell et al 2009), the 10 year threshold (Yadava et al 2011), and the 13 year threshold (Chudasama 2012).

Further exploration of the data has been used to assess the importance of the Weighted Average (Roberts et al 2014), and the concept of threshold probability (Lucas et al 2014).

There is a large study on 3rd Molars and the 18 year threshold (Lucas VS 2014, personal communication).
